Attorney Jenaye M. Peterson, a native of Atlanta, GA, is the founding and managing partner of JM Law LLC. She attended Benjamin Banneker High School in College Park, GA and graduated with a competitive GPA, allowing her to be a recipient of the Georgia HOPE Scholarship. Upon graduation, Attorney Peterson attended Georgia State University where she maintained her HOPE scholarship for the tenure of her collegiate years, and graduated with her Bachelor’s in Business Administration and a certificate in Hospitality. Without taking a breather, she matriculated into North Carolina Central University School of Law, where she graduated cum laude and received her Juris Doctorate and a certificate in ADR - Alternative Dispute Resolution, which she credits for her incredibly savvy negotiation skills and strong belief in mediation.
 


While waiting on her bar results, she had the honor and privilege to intern as a law clerk for the Honorable Chief Judge Tangela Barrie at the DeKalb County Superior Court. This experience allowed Attorney Peterson to apply her legal skills and knowledge to real-time cases, while learning how to effectively and properly respond and operate in the judicial system. Because of this experience, Attorney Peterson has great confidence and boldness when filing a lawsuit and  entering the doors of any courtroom. Prior to opening her law firm, Attorney Peterson had the fortunate opportunity of working at other law firms handling top dollar personal injury cases & civil small claim matters.

Attorney Jenaye Peterson has settled and filed countless claims on behalf of her clients and has been successful in obtaining favorable results and outcomes which is reflected by her glowing client reviews & testimonials. Attorney Peterson is an active member of the State Bar of Georgia, Georgia Legal Accelerator program, and Georgia Association of Black Women Attorneys, and is known for her outgoing personality and dynamic work ethic. When Attorney Peterson is not practicing law she is busy with interviews and speaking engagements empowering women and at risk teens. She also mentors new and aspiring attorneys, and takes pride in volunteering her legal services to local churches and civic organizations. Most importantly, she enjoys serving her family, church, & community in an impactful and meaningful way.
